Beekeepers Win Ban on Monsanto's GMOs in Poland

Monsanto’s Mon810 corn, genetically engineered to produce a mutant version of the insecticide Bt, has been banned in Poland following protests by beekeepers who showed the corn was killing honeybees.

Bike-a-bee is an urban beekeeping movement started by young beekeeper Jana Kinsman in Chicago. She is striving to create a beekeeping community by bringing beehives to clean, green spaces throughout the city cared for by her on her bike…sounds pretty awesome to me! With her plan recently funded by Kickstarter, the movement is a go! I look forward to watching the project progress and eventually flourish, helping the bees bee well!
